A story written in response to a short story assignment in 8th grade (8-9 pages in length).
It took on a life of its own and grew to 28 pages - and that was not even as thorough a story
as the author wished. However, it was necessary to bring the ending about quickly so that the teacher
would not have to spend too long grading it, and so that, when it was read aloud in class, it would
appease some with shorter attention spans.
And no Rishabh, the author in no way condones incest. There have been joint rulers of kingdoms who were not married to one another or otherwise romantically engaged, but still shared the power of the throne. Begin the story |
