Wow! This site has not been updated for a year and 3 months or so. What happened?
Well, first, Crosswinds.net had a server crash so this entire site was deleted. Fortunately, 4-D Kat had a partial backup on her computer. But it really was too depressing and imposing to have to rededicate hundreds of hours towards a rebuild. Then came Girls State in June 2001 - it was much fun. The Kat served as an Assemblywoman representing the city of Burbank (from the county of Stanford.) THEN there was scholarship searches, essay writing, application filling - not to mention college applications, essays, and interviews.

Meanwhile, school was demanding at times. Cross Country and Track.

The Kat's Early Actions to MIT and Harvard were both deferred.

So she applied to a few UCs and Stanford. And all winter and spring she prayed for acceptance to a school that was at least hour away from her physical home.

In March, the first came. And unofficial letter from UCLA. Well, then the official ones started arriving.

The last one, Stanford, was where she went nutso. Read about it in the Stories section... when the author actually finishes writing it.

Well, this has been a first major restructuring of Blue Hamster Land in a long while. The feature links really are feature links now. They will be changed after each update. Today, the Kat ran a lot. Even more than the Blue Hamster. The Kat ran a mile, then a 2 mile, then a half mile (800m), and finally, the 4 by 400 relay race. Very Exhausting.

      I am delighted. :D
Why, you ask? Well, one, I passed my driver's license test. Yay!
Two, I am doing relatively well in track. A couple of personal bests.
Feburary 21, 2001
This past month has been extremely busy, and fun, and exciting, and painful. Let me explain.

Finals were finally over on January 18th and 19th. Yay!

Then, up until Feb 2, the Blue Hamster spent many many hours studying stuff - such as Strict Determinism, Freusian Psychology, Kashmir Shaivism, Plato's theory of Forms, MHC's, HIV, Sole Proprietorships, and Gamelans. Yep. Lots of Stuff.
It was worth it though. Oakmont High School took 3rd, only 260 pts away from 2nd and recieved lots of individual medals. Oakmont rules! ;b

And there was much stressing over busywork that the compassionless torturers at an institution called high school generously heap upon the children.

But all is well, or at least, the last time I checked.

Especially on Valentine's Day. The 3-D and 4-D version of the Blue Hamster being, also known as Kat, was selected to be the delegate to Girls State. Yay! (http://www.legion-aux.org)

Therefore, it has been so busy that there really has been no update and there probably won't be one until summer.

Most excellent news! The Junior Research Paper received..... (drumroll, please) And A+!!!!!!!! Yes, yes, the Most Generic Blue Hamster is celebrating along with Luna and even the miserable Zirconia is somewhat less grim. By the way, this grand essay (just kidding) is not the one on the website though.

There has been much rearranging here at Blue Hamster Land. Instead of a coup, we have negotioated a peaceful resignation from the king. The power now belongs to... the most generic Blue Hamster! Er, we mean the people of Blue Hamster Land, yes?
Quand meme, New Stories have been done and lots of minor restructuring has been accomplished.
The Most Generic Blue Hamster has a new hobby, yes. Collecting CyberPictures.

      Happy New Millenium/Year
(whichever you prefer)!
Blue Hamster Land has been neglected, yes :(. But all can be blamed on La Stupide Junior Research Paper. (This is the revised version) And since it is now practically finished, all Blue Hamster can do is sit and cringe about the grade. And maybe do some building on this site. Or not. The Blue Hamster sits and speaks to a giant space of, well, cyberspace. And no one hears. Is it because this is the time of year you human earthings choose to get together with your own kind and thus, decide not to visit us? Nous sommes tristes!
Ah well, que sera sera. So, until there is more of a demand, this site and our litle village will sit, undisturbed. (Actually, the coup requires more planning than we thought. So that's what we'll be working on. Hey. don't look at us funny. Look what happened at the election of your United States. We just happen to be a little behind. We really want to be like you. But first, we must either have a revolution or a coup, so we can install a so called democracy to have elections that will be so close, dead people voting will make a difference.)
