- Prairie Dogs are not dogs and guinea pigs are not pigs. Both are rodents, (characterized
by the big front teeth). Other rodents include mice, chinchillas, hamsters, rats, and
porcupines.
- Sea lions can understand simple chains of logic, apparently. A sea lion named Rio was
taught that the symbol for mug is equivalent to the symbol for watch and that the symbol
for watch was equivalent to the symbol for bomb. Rio then indicated that the symbol for
mug was equivalent to the symbol for bomb, 24 times out of 28 trials.
- The bee humming bird is the smallest in the world. In its native cuba, it is sometimes
called zumbador, "which means to buzz or hum."
- Wandering albatross have the largest wingspan of any living bird.
- No gorilla could ever be as big as King Kong because its skeleton would not be able to
support its weight.
