Many years ago, (well, relatively), when CyberUniverse popped into existence (CyberKoala kids learn about the BigPop, but we are digressing) stood a tiny puddle on a newly formed C-D plane (C-D is Cyber-Dimension.) Inside the puddle floated a thin translucent "egg." Inside the egg, were thousands of squiggly things. After some time, the egg burst and the squiggly things became exposed to the puddle water. As there were chemical nutrients within the puddle, these little creatures began consuming the necessary nutrients for survival. These little "squiggly" things looked like this:

(please note that this is only an approximation)

This first generation grew up, had kids by dividing (like Earth bacteria do.) After a few generations, the puddle could not support the growing colony of Koalas (CyberKoalas or C-Koalas), as they came to call themselves. So they wiggled and climbed to find new ground (or rather, a new puddle.) In this manner, the koalas went forth and multiplied. Eventually, there came a giant disaster and much of the plane was destroyed. Only a few koalas were left and they became nomadic because their planet was no longer able to support life. A few generations later, they surfed up (or washed up) upon the shores of Kat's Site of Stuff and found that it was indeed habitable. Now Kat's Site of Stuff was a young plane and was not quite stable and occasional asteroids (ads) and other weird things would pop up. So Kat's Site of Stuff wandered from the original central black hole (geocities) and the gravitational pull of another central black hole (lightning.prohoting.com) drew it within its orbit. However not much time had passed (4 or 5 months) had passed when big fat asteroids and other weird things landed on the plane, pushing it farther away, until it reached a point within the gravitational pull of the black hole called crosswinds.net. Unfortunately, this so called friendly place proved to be only an illusion, a trap. Lulled into a sense of security, the 4-D Guardian Kat moved onto other things in her 4-D world. (college applications, scholarship applications, school)

Then, weird forces and chaos took over.

The entire universe was wiped out.(Crosswinds.net first started bombarding ads, then the server crashed entirely) No life remained.
Fortunately, there are parallel universes. 4-D Kat brought back pieces of the past... which is what you see now (stanford.edu) Throughtout this time of chaos, the koalas live beneath the surface (that's why you only see their heads most of the time) and come up for fun. Their diets have evolved to taking in more complex items and digital molecules. They now have also evolved beyond the division of themselves for reproduction but how they reproduce now, the old wise ones do not believe that it is appropriate that they discuss it with strange earthlings.
