I went to work at 10. They said I needed to fill out some payroll stuff - the DE-4 form and they don't know where I should write "Exempt" on the DE-4 form (CA form). They also don't have the right charts. So then they told me I need to go to Payroll ASAP. I'm slightly annoyed because Payroll is on the other side of campus: East East side I'm working on West West side and I am bikeless. I go anyway. Along the way, I see an A line Marguerite shuttle.. so I'm happy :-) I get on I get off at Serra and Campus Drive, which is where Payroll is supposed to be close to. Unfortunately.. I started walking down the OTHER side of Serra St! After walking down practically to El Camino (more than 10 minutes) I stop in at the Dining Services Office which is among the other things I discovered are on that end of the street so now I know where it is. Anyhow... they tell me where I am.. and I'm think... oh great! oh no! SO..... I start walking back. :-( Luckily, there's another A line Marguerite heading in the same direction. Then I get on and get off at the right place because NOW I know where it is. Payroll office hours are 8-11, 12-5. I get in at 11:40. UNFORTUNATELY, they are having some celebration luncheon today so they closed at 11:30! If only I hadn't gone the wrong direction! And they won't be back til 1:30!!!! So now I'm annoyed. I'm really annoyed. I called my supervisor and explain the situation since I was not going to walk all the way back to West Campus Drive just to come back in an hour or so. Then I went back to my dorm and ran a couple of other errands. Then I will go back to Serra.... and then back to work around 2:30.

So.. I"ve been literally all over North, South, East, West campus today - and NO BIKE! My legs are dead. I also ran about a mile this morning... for fun.. before I knew about this craziness.

And when I came back from work, it was dark outside. My mom had just told me some story about a girl at UC Davis who almost got raped recently. SO I had to take the long way back (main streets) to my dorm... and I RAN the whole way!
